Douglas Bank Colliery, fondly known as ‘Lamb and Moores’, commenced sinking in March 1863, employing nearly 1.5k brave souls above and below ground at its peak in 1910, before finally closing in 1920.

The colliery was situated on the River Douglas, just a few hundred yards North of the legendary Wigan Warriors Stadium: a second home for the Pitman brothers.

The cherry, black and white of the Douglas Bank flannel are a true celebration of the Pitman family's Wigan heritage and the team we proudly cheer for.

Plus it's the perfect colour palette for your Christmas day photos, dontcha think?
